WNBA CARES HOOPS FOR TROOPS
WNBA Cares Community Assist Award presented by State Farm
TEAM COMMUNITY EFFORTS
Through WNBA Cares, the WNBA is deeply committed to creating programs that improve the quality of life for all people with a special emphasis on programs that inspire youth and families worldwide, promote health and wellness and education.
WNBA Cares goal alignment focuses on Philanthropy, Service, Legacy and Inspiring Women. Since WNBA Cares launched, the league, players and teams have:
- PHILANTHROPY: Donated more than $11 million to charity, with more than $3.5 million raised in the fight against breast cancer
- SERVICE: More than 565,000 hours of hands-on service
- LEGACY: More than 45 places where kids and families can live, learn or play
- INSPIRATION: 27 current and former WNBA coaches and players have traveled to 27 countries across five continents as sport ambassadors inspiring youth and promoting health and wellness through basketball.

WNBA FIT The WNBA FIT platform is the league�s comprehensive health and wellness program that encourages physical activity and healthy living for children and families. Through programs such as Coke Live Positively, the WNBA informs, engages and educates its fans in healthy living practices. |

INSPIRING WOMEN The Inspiring Woman platform celebrates women who demonstrate their ability to inspire others through their commitment, passion and dedication to work, family and community.

BREAST HEALTH AWARENESS The WNBA Breast Health Awareness program focuses on generating awareness and educating women about breast cancer in addition to raising funds for the initiative. This season, WNBA Breast Health Awareness Week will take place from July 28 � August 3. |

WNBA GREEN The WNBA is committed to a long-term environmental plan through the implementation of sustainable business practices and procedures that decrease the league�s carbon footprint and contribute to a clean, healthy environment. The WNBA Green Game will take place during the July 22nd games between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky, and the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm.

WNBA CARES HOOPS FOR TROOPS
The WNBA is committed to supporting our active and retired service men and women and their families around the world. Through the WNBA Cares Hoops for Troops program, teams and players honor military and their families through a variety of activation including in-arena nights, military base visits, ticket programs, in-game activation and meet & greets with Wounded Warriors.
WNBA Cares Community Assist Award presented by State Farm
The WNBA Cares Community Assist Award presented by State Farm recognizes a WNBA player for their outstanding efforts in the community, and for ongoing philanthropic work during each month of the 2014 WNBA season.
TEAM COMMUNITY EFFORTS
WNBA teams maintain a range of creative programs geared to give back to their communities. Whether it's engaging youth in various Read to Achieve incentive platforms or fun fitness programs, coordinating environmentally friendly projects, or providing memorable in-arena experiences to deserving local heroes, WNBA teams actively participate in local community outreach. Through partnerships with various community and non-profit organizations, teams capitalize on their ability to highlight different issues and help a diverse array of people.
