Destanni Henderson

Henderson has now been let go by Atlanta after her second seven-day contract. Over her six appearances with the Dream, the 25-year-old guard averaged 4.0 points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 17.5 minutes. However, it is unclear if Atlanta will bring Henderson back after the extended break for the Olympics.

Henderson joined the Dream on a seven-day deal last Friday, and she's averaged 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per game over her first three appearances with the team. She should at least remain with the Dream until the start of the All-Star break, but it's unclear whether she'll continue to have a role in mid-August, after the Olympic break.

Henderson was waived by the Dream just before the start of the regular season, but she'll rejoin the organization as the team deals with several injuries. The 25-year-old made 15 regular-season appearances between the Sparks and Mercury last year and averaged 3.2 points and 1.4 assists in 11.5 minutes per game.

Henderson was drafted by the Fever in 2022 and made 36 appearances (five starts) that season, averaging 5.3 points, 2.5 assists, 1.6 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 16.4 minutes. She made 10 appearances (one start) for the Sparks in 2023 and played in five games for the Mercury in 2024 while operating under a trio of 10-day deals. She'll likely begin the 2024 campaign as a free agent.
