Ruthy Hebard

Hebard was one of three players cut loose as the Lynx reduced its training camp roster to 15. The 6-foot-4 center appeared in 19 games for the Sky in 2023, averaging 3.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 9.2 minutes.

Hebard was the No. 8 pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft by the Sky and spent four seasons in Chicago. After back-to-back promising seasons to start her career, Hebard has averaged fewer than 10 minutes per game over the last two campaigns. She'll compete for a depth spot in Minnesota.

Hebard missed the first portion of the campaign after giving birth to a child during the offseason. She made her return to the court in July but was never able to gain much of a rhythm while being kept in a minimal bench role. She registered a season-high 10 points once in 19 games but shot an efficient 58.5 percent from the field.

Hebard cracked double-digit scoring for the first time this season, helping the Sky to a crucial victory. Although she was upwards of 10 minutes for the third consecutive game, her production remains modest at best. Across the season, she is averaging 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game.

Hebard hauled in a minimum of five rebounds for the third time this season, despite playing just 11 minutes in the game. She has been relatively limited this season, averaging a career-low 8.6 minutes per game, but she is shooting an impressive 56.1 percent from the field and continues to show that she can be a solid presence on the defensive end.
