Thomas was selected by the Mystics in the first round of the 2011 WNBA Draft and played 13 seasons between Washington, Atlanta, Connecticut and Los Angeles. She averaged double-digit scoring totals over six consecutive seasons between 2016 and 2021 and was an All-Star during the 2017 campaign. She played mainly off the bench during her lone season with the Sparks in 2023 but had a productive career in the WNBA, averaging 8.9 points, 3.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 24.7 minutes per game over her 13 seasons.

Thomas was traded to Los Angeles last offseason, going on to contribute to some extent off the bench in her 13th season in the WNBA. Thomas didn't make too much of an impact in her 12.8 minutes on the floor per game, but she provided the Sparks with an additional player to fill in while the team was dealing with many injuries and absences in 2023. Thomas will hit free agency this offseason at the age of 34 and it will be interesting to see whether the Sparks decide to re-sign her or let her test the open market ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Thomas started the last two games with teammate Layshia Clarendon sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols, but she will return to the bench in Clarendon's return. Thomas will likely fall back to a very minimal role, as she scored just three points and grabbed three rebounds across her two starts.

Layshia Clarendon is in the health and safety protocols, so the Sparks will turn to Thomas to replace her in the starting lineup. Thomas has had a very quiet season so far, averaging 2.6 points in 12.3 minutes per contest.

Thomas played fewer than 10 minutes for the fifth time in the past seven games, failing to record a single stat. Despite featuring in the rotation on most nights, Thomas has done very little to garner the attention of fantasy managers.
