A versatile, athletic forward known for her high-energy and a 15-foot jumper, Erica McCall enters her third WNBA season after being selected in the second round (17th overall) of the 2017 WNBA Draft&#8230;she has appeared in 64 games with three starts&#8230;a part of Final Four teams with Stanford as a freshman and again as a senior, McCall is regarded for her quickness and scoring on offense, and shot-blocking on defense&#8230;she averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds during the 2017 NCAA Tournament while leading the Cardinal to the national semifinals.
She is the younger sister of Phoenix Mercury star DeWanna Bonner&#8230;her father, Greg, is a former player at Cal-State Bakersfield who was a team captain on the Roadrunners&#8217; DII Final Four team in 1991&#8230;he now is the head women&#8217;s basketball coach at CSUB.

2018: McCall averaged 2.9 points and 2.7 rebounds while playing in all 34 Fever games&#8230;she made a pair of starts in June while Candice Dupree nursed a sore left knee&#8230;she scored a season-high nine points on three occasions&#8230;one point shy of her first career double-double, she scored nine points with 11 rebounds in her first starting assignment, at Dallas, 6/8&#8230;she finished second on the team with 16 blocked shots.
2017: McCall appeared in 30 games for Indiana with a single start at Connecticut, 7/30, in which she pulled down a season-high nine rebounds&#8230;she averaged 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in limited action overall, and posted a season-high 12 points at Washington, 8/12&#8230;the rookie shot 41 percent from the floor, including 1-of-3 from 3-point range.

2018-19: McCall returned to action with Atomeromu in Hungary where she averaged 13.1 points and 7.9 rebounds&#8230;she averaged 18.6 points and 9.2 rebounds in EuroCup play&#8230;Atomeromu advanced to the Hungarian Finals&#8230;McCall earned honorable mention All-EuroCup honors by EuroBasket.com.
2017-18: Playing her first pro season overseas, McCall helped Atomeromu to a regular season championship in the Hungarian League by averaging 13.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game&#8230;.Atomeromu lost to Sopron in the Hungarian Finals.

2015: McCall co-captained the United States to a perfect 6-0 record and gold at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea&#8230;she tied for eighth at the event in scoring (15.2), was eighth in rebounds (8.5) and tied for third in blocks (1.8)&#8230;she led all players in South Korea in field goal percentage, converting 37 of her 62 attempts from the floor (.597).
2012: She was a member of the 2012 USA 3&#215;3 U18 World Championship Team that captured the FIBA U18 3&#215;3 World Championship gold medal with a 7-1 record in Alcobendas, Spain&#8230;also on the team were Kaela Davis, Diamond DeShields and Brianna Turner.
2012: McCall also was a member of the 2012 USA U17 World Championship Team that captured the gold medal with an 8-0 record in Amsterdam, the Netherlands&#8230;she played in all eight contests and averaged 3.8 points per game.

In four years at Stanford, the two-time All-Pac-12 performer led Stanford to a pair of Final Fours, three Elite Eights, three Pac-12 championships and a 118-28 overall record&#8230;McCall&#8217;s career totals of 1,376 points, 976 rebounds and 200 blocks made her one of six players in Pac-12 history with 1,350/950/200&#8230;she was a Stanford co-captain as a junior and senior&#8230;she was named a second-team CoSIDA Academic All-American as a senior, completing her academic work in psychology a quarter early with the completion of finals at the end of the winter term.
2016-17: McCall averaged team highs in points (14.4), rebounds (9.0) and blocks (1.7), scored in double figures in 31 games and had 10 or more rebounds 17 times&#8230;she was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Pac-12 Tournament after averaging 11.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in Stanford&#8217;s three wins and was just as good in the NCAA Tournament, putting up 13.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game&#8230;she was named All-Pac-12, an honorable mention All-American and the eighth Academic All-American in program history&#8230;.she matched a career scoring high with 27 points against Northeastern, 11/24&#8230;she scored in double figures in 25 straight games to begin her senior campaign.

2014-15: A part-time starter as a sophomore, McCall played in all 36 games with 18 starts&#8230;she was second on the team in rebounds (5.4) and blocks (50), and averaged 5.6 points in 17.1 minutes per game&#8230;McCall had four 10-rebound games and ended the season with her second career double-double, going for 12 points and 10 rebounds in the Sweet Sixteen against Notre Dame, 3/27&#8230;she tallied a game-high 11 rebounds in an NCAA Tournament game against Oklahoma, 3/23&#8230;she notched the first double-double of her career with 13 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Arizona, 1/16.

Erica McCall was born Aug. 21, 1995, in Bakersfield, Calif&#8230;she is the daughter of Greg and Sonya McCall&#8230;she has two siblings, DeWanna Bonner and Justin McCall&#8230;DeWanna is a WNBA All-Star and two-time WNBA champion with the Phoenix Mercury who starred at Auburn and was the WNBA&#8217;s No. 5 overall draft pick in 2009&#8230;Justin was a California prep all-star who has committed to play at Cal State Bakersfield&#8230;father Greg was a former player at CSUB and now the women&#8217;s basketball coach of the Roadrunners&#8230;he guided CSUB to the NCAA Division II Final Four in 1991&#8230;mother Sonya was a track athlete at Northern Arizona University.
McCall was the California Gatorade Player of the Year in 2013 … a four-year letterwinner at Ridgeview High School, she captained the basketball team for three seasons (2011-13), and was named a WBCA All-American and McDonald’s All-American as a senior&#8230;she also was named Cal-Hi Sports CIF Central Section Division II Player of the Year&#8230;a four-time All-Area Most Valuable Player (2010-13), she helped lead Ridgeview to the CIF Central Section Division II title and to the CIF Division II title game in 2013&#8230;overall, she helped capture three Central Section titles at Ridegview (2010, 2011, 2013)&#8230;McCall set RHS career records of 2,655 points (second all-time in Central Section record book), 1,986 rebounds (third all-time in state history) and 983 blocked shots (state record)&#8230;she played club ball for Cal Sparks, helping her club team to three FILA national titles from 2010-12.
Upon leaving Stanford, she penned a letter to future Stanford players, imploring them to know that: &#8220;Basketball doesn’t last forever so when you get the chance to play, do so with passion.”&#8230; Since her freshman year in college, McCall has embraced the nickname “Bird.” Why? “McCall, McCall” … sounds like a bird’s call, right?
