Selected by Washington in first round (4th overall) in the WNBA Draft on April 19, 2002… Washington signed and traded Jones to the Connecticut in a three-team deal that sent Tamicha Jackson from the Phoenix Mercury to the Washington Mystics and the Sun sent the 8th pick in the 2004 WNBA Draft to the Mercury.
