Finishing the 2019 WNBA season with five double-doubles in her last six games, Teaira McCowan has enjoyed a productive first offseason overseas. Her double-double domination continued on Dec. 24, when she racked up 37 points and 27 rebounds to lead Beijing past Bayi, 89-85. At just 23 years old, the 2019 No. 3 overall pick looks to be a successful player for years to come.
Arike Ogunbowale
Team: OGM Ormanspor (Turkey)
League: Turkish Women’s Basketball League
Stats (12/25): 43 PTS | 5 REB
While many were receiving and giving gifts on Christmas Day, Arike Ogunbowale was getting buckets. Ogunbowale led the way for Ormanspor with 43 points, five rebounds and three assists in a 106-84 victory over Adana. It was yet another solid performance from Ogunbowale, who continues to tear it up overseas in both the Turkish Women’s Basketball League and the EuroCup Women.

Liz Cambage
Team: Shanxi Flame (China)
League: Women’s Chinese Basketball Association
Stats (12/26): 56 PTS | 6 REB
After missing three straight games for the Shanxi Flame, Liz Cambage returned to action the day after Christmas and recorded a monster game. Cambage finished with 56 points and 6 rebounds en route to a 84-82 victory over the Sichuan Blue Whales. One of the most dominant players in the WNBA, it comes as no surprise that Cambage recorded 50+ points, as her 53-point performance against the New York Liberty last July set a league record for most points scored in a game.

Theresa Plaisance
Team:Β Shaanxi Red Wolves (China)

A six-year veteran in the WNBA, Theresa Plaisance has established herself as a dominant player in the WCBA this season. Averaging 22.6 points and 15.8 rebounds per game in the WCBA last season, Plaisance had her best game of the year on Dec. 28, racking up an impressive 65-point, 17-rebound double-double in the Red Wolves’ 96-7o victory over the Wuhan Shengfan. In her two previous games, Plaisance recorded 31 points/18 rebounds followed by 43 points/20 rebounds. Playing arguably the best basketball of her career, it will be intriguing to see if Plaisance’s breakout play translates to the WNBA this upcoming season.
Natasha Howard

Stats (12/28): 38 PTS | 15 REB
After a breakout season with the Seattle Storm in 2019 in which she averaged career-highs in points (18.1) and rebounds (8.2) per game, Natasha Howard has continued her impressive play. After averaging 35.1 points (league-high) and 12 rebounds per game last season in the WCBA as a member of the Xinjiang Magic Deer, Howard has changed teams but continued her overseas production. Most recently, in a 80-79 loss against the Shanghai Baoshan, Howard recorded 38 points and 15 rebounds.
