The W in Designer '24: Standout Looks at the All-Star Game
The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game requires extra preparation from players, with an awareness of the attention on their pregame and on-court energy. Historically, these tunnel outfits are carefully prepared by stylists— it’s the moment for players to bring out custom looks, designer pieces, and thoughtful pairings for an overall image that emphasizes their star quality.
This year’s pregame looks include multiple players interpreting an elevated, professional athlete look in their own way. From shiny, oversized track pants to upcycled uniforms, these tunnel looks amplify the big game that players are about to compete in. These outfits are focused, which represents the extreme focus that players bring to perform at their best.

Kelsey Plum

After opening the season in a leather Alexander Wang look, Kelsey Plum wears another look from the brand in light pink. Styled by Sydney Bordonaro, Plum creates an elevated athletic look with oversized track pants and an XXL Ricco flap bag that resembles a gym bag. The support from designer brands is unrivaled this year—this New York-based designer issued a press release to clarify that Plum’s look was custom.
Arike Ogunbowale

Although Arike Ogunbowale’s stand-out looks for All-Star Weekend still feel true to her typical style of tunnel outfits, she worked with a stylist for her looks. Working with Desyrée Nicole, her game look includes a leather jacket from ADSB ANDERSSON BELL and cropped vintage denim with layered chains hanging from her waistband. Perhaps working with a stylist brought more focus to her game, as Ogunbowale was named as this year’s MVP.
Allisha Gray

Allisha Gray celebrates her success at the Skills Challenge by looking extra cool, calm, and collected for the All-Star Game. Featuring a distorted houndstooth-patterned puffer jacket, Gray wears a simple Nike athletic set and spiked, layered wallet chains. Styled by Amadi Brooks, this metallic look is a collaborative effort created with assistance from stylists Golden and Franceleslia.
Kelsey Mitchell

Custom, patterned outfits are slowly becoming a signature look for Kelsey Mitchell. After wearing a custom Fendi-printed matching set for the carpet, Mitchell followed up with a custom jumpsuit made from vintage WNBA jerseys by Kellie Ford. The duo shares that the look pays homage to the league’s history, and other personal details are woven into the look—Mitchell also wears a custom bag with her father’s face painted on it.
Kahleah Copper

Kahleah Copper proves that All-Star Weekend is a great time to finally wear that runway pull that you and your stylists have been plotting on. Styled by Marc Desir and VNA Gudino, Copper looks so natural in a structured LUAR zip-up hoodie and thigh-high boots. The sunglasses and tie hit all the notes of a classic athlete vibe but in the context of the desert heat. Looking ahead to the Olympics, Desir shares that her looks will “embody a powerful and dynamic vibe.”
