Three-time team captain overcame multiple obstacles in six seasons. After moving to Purdue from Maryland and sitting out 2009-10 season due to transfer rules, missed 4 games the next year due to life-threatening bacterial meningitis that left her with 10% hearing in her left ear, 80% in her right. Then missed the 2011-12 season after tearing her right ACL in an Oct. scrimmage at Indiana State. 2012-13: The grad student capped her career as Big Ten Tournament MOP; guided Purdue to title game vs. Mich. State in which she set a tournament record for single-game FG percentage (.909 on 10-of-11). Also voted All-Big Ten Third Team by coaches and was finalist for Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup and Senior CLASS Award. 2010-11: All-Big Ten Third Team (Coaches) and a finalist for the V Foundation Comeback Award. No. 1 on team in rebounding, was second in scoring and set school mark for 3-pt. FG % despite a Nov. hospital stay with bacterial meningitis. MISC: Full name is Andrea Mingo.
