Shepard got the start due to the absence of Alanna Smith (rest), and there's no question she made the most of the opportunity. This was her eighth double-double of the season, and six of those have come when she plays as a starter. That said, Shepard could return to her regular bench role when the Lynx take on the Fever on Tuesday if Smith returns to the lineup.

Collier bounced back from the 12-point effort she posted in Thursday's loss to the Aces. However, she's recorded at least 20 points in "only" three of her six appearances since returning from a seven-game absence due to a sprained right ankle. Collier remains the go-to player on the best team in the league; however, her status as a strong MVP candidate won't be affected by a couple of below-average (for her lofty standards) performances.

Rupert was one of three players who scored at least 15 points for Golden State in this matchup against the team with the best record in the WNBA, but her efforts weren't enough to pull the upset. Despite the negative outcome, Rupert continues to deliver solid outings for fantasy managers who routinely trust her. Rupert has scored in double digits in four of her previous six outings while also delivering decent numbers in secondary categories.

Salaun ended just two rebounds shy of what would've been her double-double of the season. Despite the shooting woes, Salaun remains one of the most consistent scoring weapons for the Valkyries. She has reached the 15-point mark in four of her last seven contests.

Lacan's fantasy value appears to have risen following the season-ending injury to veteran guard Bria Hartley (knee). Lacan has averaged 14.8 points, 3.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 27.8 minutes per games over her last six appearances, shooting an excellent 53.0 percent from the floor during that stretch.

Morrow was unable to crack double-digit scoring figures for her fourth straight outing, though she did come down with at least 10 boards for the seventh time since the start of August. The rookie forward remains a work in progress on the offensive end, but she's displayed a knack for crashing the glass. Over her last 12 outings, Morrow has averaged 8.3 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 22.4 minutes per game.

Saturday represented Whitcomb's third consecutive outing with double-digit points. The sharpshooting guard has started just three games over her last 15 contests, a stretch where Whitcomb has averaged a modest 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.7 steals in 21.9 minutes per game.

Sabally scored in double digits for the 10th time in her last 11 games, and she's knocked down at least one three-pointer in 14 consecutive outings. The star forward has swiped at least one steal in 11 of her last 14 appearances, during which Sabally has averaged 14.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 27.0 minutes per game.

Although she struggled from three-point range, Charles bounced back after scoring zero points and shooting 0-for-3 from the field in Thursday's win over Dallas. The 27-year-old guard finished one point shy of tying her career best and matched the team high in points. Additionally, she tied the team-high mark in rebounds.

Hiedeman recorded her third consecutive game with at least 20 points, leading the Lynx in scoring Saturday. The Marquette product's 24 points marked a new season high, tying her career best. Additionally, she tied her career-high mark in three-pointers. The 28-year-old also tallied a game-high three steals, logging her sixth regular-season appearance with multiple swipes.

With Alanna Smith (rest) sidelined, Shepard will step into the starting five. Over her last seven starts, the 28-year-old center has averaged 11.9 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists across 29.7 minutes per game.

Smith will miss her first game due to an injury this season after a hard fall in the fourth quarter of Thursday's win over the Lynx. Her next chance to play will come in Tuesday's rematch against Chicago. Kiah Stokes and Megan Gustafson are candidates for an uptick in playing time due to Smith being sidelined.
