Peters had played double-digit minutes in two of her three appearances ahead of Wednesday's regular-season finale, but she didn't see as much playing time to close out the year. The 32-year-old regularly saw double-digit minutes for Connecticut early in the 2025 campaign, but she was an inconsistent part of the rotation down the stretch. Overall, she made 33 appearances (two starts) and averaged 2.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. She's slated to become a restricted free agent during the offseason, and it seems possible that she'll have to seek out a new team.
Player News
Peters saw a slight bump in playing time due to Aneesah Morrow (chest) checking out of the game in the first quarter. The 12 minutes were the most for Peters since Aug. 5. If Morrow is forced to miss time, Peters could see a few extra minutes.
Player News
Peters, who just signed a rest-of-season contract with the Sun on Tuesday, is likely to continue serving a depth role at the edge of the rotation. In 25 games this season, she's played 12.9 minutes per night.
Player News
Peters will continue to provide depth off the bench for the Sun, and this new deal comes after she played for Connecticut on three consecutive seven-day deals after being waived in mid-July. She's appeared in 23 games (two starts) for Connecticut this season, averaging 2.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists across 13.5 minutes per game.
