Collegiate Career (Illinois & Alabama)
At Alabama, Nye earned 2024 All-SEC Second Team honors and cemented herself as one of the nation’s premier shooters. During the 2024–25 season, she set the Alabama single-season record for made three-pointers with 109 after previously breaking the program record in 2023–24 with 108. She also ranked fourth nationally in made three-pointers during the 2024–25 campaign.
Nye surpassed the 1,000-point mark during the 2023–24 season and helped lead Alabama to the Round of 32 in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Nye began her collegiate career at Illinois. As a freshman in 2020–21, she led the team in three-point shooting percentage (.351), connecting on 27 of 77 attempts from beyond the arc. During the 2021–22 season, Nye tied the Illinois program record for three-pointers made in a Big Ten game with seven, scoring a game-high 21 points in a win over Wisconsin on January 9. She also tied a career high with seven rebounds against the Badgers.
2025 Season (Las Vegas Aces)
Nye was selected 13th overall by the Las Vegas Aces in the 2025 WNBA Draft and went on to help the franchise capture the 2025 WNBA Championship.
She made her professional debut on May 2, 2025, in a preseason matchup against the Dallas Wings. In 23 minutes, Nye scored 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 5-of-8 from three-point range. Beyond the numbers, Nye brought steadiness, energy, and positivity to the locker room, elevating those around her while consistently competing with confidence and enthusiasm.
