Sonia Citron

Citron posted double-digit points for the 20th time in 22 appearances since the All-Star break, and she was one of three Mystics players to reach double figures Tuesday. The All-Star also supplied a game high in steals, marking her 15th matchup with multiple steals this season. The rookie appeared in all 44 regular-season games, averaging 14.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 44.5 percent from beyond the arc in 32.2 minutes per game.

Citron matched Natasha Howard with a game-high 17 points, though it wasn't nearly enough in the blowout loss. Despite a difficult season for the Mystics, Citron's effort Sunday pushed her past Brittney Sykes' 2023 mark for the most points in a single season in franchise history.

Citron didn't put up a massive scoring total Sunday, but she was sharp from long range, knocking down three triples. The rookie has now connected from deep in 16 straight games, with eight of those outings featuring at least three made threes.

Citron didn't have her best performance in this loss, though to be fair, the entire Mystics team struggled and looked overmatched from start to finish. This was Citron's worst scoring output since the beginning of August, but as a rookie who has already established herself as a solid scorer in her first year of the league, she'll aim to bounce back against the Sparks on Sunday in the second leg of a back-to-back set.

Citron was one of two Mystic players to score in double figures, and she did so with efficiency by knocking down half of her attempts from the field while drilling four triples for the second time in three matchups. She continues to produce in the scoring column, now putting up 11 or more points in 16 straight appearances.
