Kuier averaged 2.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game over 37 appearances (four starts) for Dallas last year and had some encouraging fantasy performances, especially late in the season. However, she indicated Monday that she wants to give herself time to rest over the summer rather than play year-round once again. "I have been playing professional basketball continually for seven years and believe it is in my best interest to take some time off to rest and give my body a break from year-round play," Kuier said. With Kuier set to sit out the 2024 campaign, Teaira McCowan and Kalani Brown could see increased run in the Wings' frontcourt.

Kuier tied her career high with 2.5 rebounds per game. However, she took a small step back in terms of minutes, points, assists, steals and blocks per game compared to last season. She scored in double figures just four times, including a season high of 13 points. Kuier also finished with season highs of nine rebounds and three assists. As a result of an unimpressive season, she will have to work hard in the offseason in order to establish a consistent role next year.
