Carrington was diagnosed with a left mid-foot sprain back in September and is still recovering from that injury. For now, the expectation is that she will be ready in time for the 2026 WNBA season. The 27-year-old guard appeared in 31 regular-season games between Dallas and Minnesota, producing 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals across 21.9 minutes per game.

Carrington sustained the foot injury in Wednesday's Game 2 win over the Valkyries and won't return for the remainder of the playoffs. Natisha Hiedeman and Courtney Williams are candidates to absorb extra playing time due to Carrington being sidelined. Carrington will miss the opening matchup of the second round of the playoffs, and her next opportunity to suit up will come in Tuesday's Game 2 against Phoenix. Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman are likely to absorb extra minutes while Carrington is sidelined.

Carrington provided a nice spark off the bench, nearly averaging a point per minute off the bench. She provided timely three-point shooting while also helping out with a block. Carrington is averaging just 8.5 PPG in two playoff games, while hitting at least two three-pointers in each game against the Valkyries.

Carrington will return to action in the team's postseason opener after missing the final four games of the regular season due to a shoulder injury. The 27-year-old guard appeared in 11 regular-season outings after being traded to the Lynx on Aug. 3, averaging 8.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.1 assists across 16.5 minutes per game during that span.
