Women's National Team Visits Good Morning America

Before their matchup with Canada on Friday evening, the Women’s National Team got their morning started with a trip to the Good Morning America set and a sit down with Robin Roberts.
- All 12 Women’s National Team members and Head Coach Geno Auriemma pose for a picture before getting their Good Morning America experience underway.
- Comedian Kevin Hart was on set at Good Morning America to greet the team and offer words of encouragement.
- Indiana Fever star and three-time Olympic gold medalist Tamika Catchings was nice enough to let Hart try on her gold medal from the London Games.
- Now there’s a lot of wins in one picture. Taurasi and Auriemma go way back to Diana’s UConn days where the two won three-consecutive National Championships. They have added three Olympic gold medals to that trophy case as well over Taurasi’s 13-year professional career.
- First-time Olympian Breanna Stewart has experienced almost everything the game of basketball has to offer except for the pursuit of Olympic gold. That will change in Rio as the 21-year-old will be looked to as a key contributor for the Women’s National Team’s pursuit of a sixth-straight gold medal.
- Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi and Tamika Catchings have done this whole Olympic thing before – three times to be exact. The well-known superstars will look to make it a record four gold medals in Rio.
