- Tamika Catchings drives to the basket vs. the Select Team. “Catch” is in her final WNBA season and making her final Olympic appearance
- Lindsay Whalen runs the break, providing one of her game-high five assists on the evening
- Elena Delle Donne fights through two Select Team defenders for the tough finish. EDD recorded a team-high 11 points
- Maya Moore also scored a team-high 11 points for the Women’s National Team. As usual, her buckets came in a variety of ways
- One of the real bright spots for the Select Team was Odyssesy Sims. She celebrates after one of her 17 points
- Despite being just 21 Breanna Stewart is already well on her way to being a superstar in women’s basketball. Her first taste of Olympic action on the senior level came against the Select Team on Monday
- Women’s National Team head coach Geno Auriemma delivers a message during a late fourth quarter timeout. Auriemma will look for his second gold medal in Rio this summer
- Although the game was back and forth for its entirety the Women’s National Team came away with a narrow victory, 88-84.
