On Saturday, Sheryl Swoopes saw her name immortalized in the Basketball Hall Of Fame alongside Shaquille O’Neal, Allen Iverson, and Yao Ming. The six-time All-Star, three-time league MVP, and four-time WNBA champion became just the fourth woman to join the Hall.

#CappiePassesLisa: Pondexter Passes Lisa Leslie For The Fifth Most Points In WNBA History

Current Chicago Sky guard, seven-time All-Star and two-time WNBA champion Cappie Pondexter passed Lisa Leslie for the fifth most points in league history (6,277) with a mid-range jumper early in the second quarter in Sunday’s win over the Sun. Pondexter is 175 points from catching Katie Smith for fourth on the all-time scoring list.

#CashNOut: Liberty Hold Farewell Ceremony For Swin Cash

Earlier this season Swin Cash announced it would be her last, and the 15-year career of one of the most well-respected players the league has ever seen would be coming to an end. After the Liberty-Storm game on Wednesday the team honored Swin with a who’s who of speakers from her past and present basketball career.

Tina Thompson, Sue Bird, Bill Lambieer and Isiah Thomas were a few of the names that offered their insights on the incredible impact Swin has had on the game.

#BattleForFirst: Lynx-Sparks Showdown In Staples

The Lynx and Sparks met for the final of three contests this season in what was dubbed the “Battle For First” Tuesday evening. Both teams came into the contest with identical 24-5 records with the winner laying claim to the ouright first place position. 41 combined points from Sylvia Fowles and Maya Moore propelled the Lynx to victory.

Appel-Marinelli ranks second in Stars history in career blocks (190), third in total rebounds (1,289), third in field goal percentage (.496), fourth in career games played (213), fifth in games started (150), seventh in minutes played (4,311) and eighth in rebounds per game (6.1).

After a six-game slate on Sunday the WNBA playoff picture became a little clearer. With wins, the Storm, Sky and Fever all clinched playoff berths. The current seeding has Indiana in the fourth slot, Chicago in the sixth, and Seattle in the seventh.

#FarewellTamika: Catchings Farewell Tour Makes Final Stops In Texas, D.C.

Tamika Catchings now has three games left in her storied WNBA career. She played her final game in Texas in a 71-69 win against the Stars. She then played her last game in the Nation’s capital on Sunday, recording an 80-73 win over the Mystics. The win in Washington also ensured the Fever a place in the playoffs and provides Catchings with the chance to capture a second WNBA title.
