A busy weekend consisting of nine games is coming up: What is a WNBA fan to do? We’re here to help with our picks for the best League Pass games from Friday through Sunday.

Mercury vs. Storm (Friday, 10:00 pm ET)

Two of the League’s most dominant young talents meet up in Seattle, as Brittney Griner and the Mercury pay visit to No. 1 overall pick Breanna Stewart and the Storm. Griner is currently tied for third in the league with two blocks per game followed closely by Stewart in fifth with 1.8. The two defensive stalwarts will likely go head to head in what will be yet another challenge in Stewart’s young career.

In the backcourt, two elite scoring guards will clash as reigning Rookie of the Year Jewell Loyd will match up with future Hall of Fame Diana Taurasi. Loyd is rapidly approaching her 500th WNBA point while Taurasi is once again among the league leaders in points and assists. It was Loyd’s jumper in the closing seconds of their previous meeting that gave the Storm an 81-80 victory and dropped the Mercury to 0-4. Phoenix, a favorite preseason championship pick among many, has since won back-to-back games and will be looking to win their fifth straight game in Seattle.

Wings vs. Lynx (Saturday, 8:00 pm ET)

Can anyone stop the Lynx? On Saturday it’ll be Dallas’ turn to try as the defending champs and reigning Player of the Month Maya Moore will try to extend their unbeaten run to start the season to 7-0. Moore led all Western Conference players in scoring during May (22.3 ppg) while also ranking second in the West in assists (5.3 apg), sixth in field goal percentage (.544, 49-of-90) and blocks (1 bpg), and seventh in three-point shooting (.409, 9-of-22).

The Wings are currently third in the Western Conference and will be hoping to get a bigger contribution from Skylar Diggins as she continues to recover from her ACL tear. While Diggins works herself back into full fitness, Dallas hopes guard Odyssey Sims and forward Karima Christmas will be able to match Moore’s offensive production. The two are averaging a combined 31 points per game and the Wings will need every single one of those points to keep up with the offensive juggernaut that is the Lynx.

This game will match the league’s best offensive rebounding team (Dallas) vs. the league’s top defensive rebounding team (Minnesota). Overall, Dallas ranks fifth in league rebound percentage, while Minnesota ranks second.

Mystics vs. Dream (Sunday, 3:00 pm ET)

The Dream are hoping to continue their dominant start to the season and currently sit atop the Eastern Conference. After missing the playoff for the first time since their inaugural season a year ago, Atlanta once again looks like an East powerhouse. With a balanced offense led by guards Angel McCoughtry (19.0 ppg), Tiffany Hayes (15.7 ppg) and Layshia Clarendon (14.5 ppg), the Dream are out to prove their hot start is no fluke. The return of veteran point guard Ivory Latta helped steady the ship for the Mystics, but Washington will need to step up its league-worst defense if it hopes to compete with the streaking Dream.
