Phoenix Mercury And Seattle Storm to Play Pair of Preseason Games

The Phoenix Mercury today announced its 2017 preseason schedule, which will feature two games against the Seattle Storm.
The Mercury and Storm will open the preseason Wednesday, May 3 at 11:30 a.m., at KeyArena in Seattle, before returning to Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix to square-off in a 3 p.m. tip on Sunday, May 7. Following the Mercury’s two preseason games, Phoenix will open the regular season hosting the 2017 Fry’s Food Stores Home Opener on Sunday, May 14, at 3 p.m. against the Dallas Wings.
Seattle is coming off its first playoff appearance since 2013, and will welcome back 2016 Rookie of the Year Breanna Stewart, 2015 WNBA Rookie of the Year Jewell Loyd and 2016 All-WNBA First Team selection Sue Bird.
As previously announced by the WNBA, Seattle has been selected to host Verizon WNBA All-Star 2017. The game is set for 12:30 p.m. on July 22, 2017 at KeyArena.
