2016 USA Basketball Women's Select Team

The USA Select Team is comprised of young USA National Team members and future USA National Team hopefuls.
- The former All-Star saw her role change as she got traded to the Phoenix Mercury, a team with championship aspirations this season. She has also won two golds competing in U18 and U19 tournaments for USAB.
- The 7th overall pick in the 2016 Draft has been a key contributer for the Mystics, averaging 6.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, while showing the ability to stretch the floor in limited attempts (8-17 from three-point range).
- The 2015 All-Star has not been able to match those same numbers in her third year but she has been essential for a Mystics team which will be fighting for a Playoff spot after the Olympics are done.
- The third year player has taken a step forward this year, increasing her FG% from 37.9 to 60.3 and scoring from 4.2 to 7.3 in just 3 more minutes per game.
- Loyd has formed a dynamic duo of back-to-back No.1 picks in Seattle. She has improved her scoring from 10.7 to 16.5 and assists from 1.9 to 3 per game, improving on her FG% and 3P% as well.
- The 9th pick in the 2016 Draft has shown the ability to score in bunches, averaging 10.5 points per game mostly off the bench for the Fever.
- The 5th pick in the 2016 Draft from Michigan State has looked very comfortable in her rookie year averaging almost 10 points per game and shooting 36.5 percent from three-point range (second amongst rookies averaging more than 1 three-point attempt a night).
- She may not have Olympic experience but Rodgers is averaging a career high 14.7 points per game on 43.5% from 3-point range. She also won a WNBA championship with the Lynx in her rookie year (2013).
- The 2nd overall pick in 2014 has already won a gold medal during the 2014 FIBA World Championship in Turkey and was named to the WNBA All-Rookie First Team that same year.
- The 6-foot-3 Center doesn’t have any international experience in her young career but her 2015 rookie year in the WNBA was a great success, as she was named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team and WNBA All-Defensive Second Team.
- The 4th pick in the 2015 Draft already has extensive international experience capturing two golds with the U16/U17 and one with the U18/U19 USAB Women’s teams from 2009-2011.
