The WNBA Draft consists of three rounds, with each round taking place on April 13th.

The order of team picks in each round is the inverse order of the standings from the last regular season, except for the first five picks of the first round, which are determined by the Draft Lottery. Additionally, the two expansion teams in 2026, the Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire received the sixth and seventh picks in each round.

Draft picks can be traded among teams up until the night before the Draft, so the order and number of picks per team can change significantly.

After that point, exercised draft picks (i.e. selected players) can be traded during or after the Draft.

All collegiate players who are turning twenty-two years old in 2025 are eligible to renounce any remaining NCAA eligibility to opt into the 2026 WNBA Draft. College seniors who have exhausted all eligibility are not required to renounce.

International players who have not exercised collegiate eligibility and are turning twenty years old in 2026 are also eligible for the 2026 WNBA Draft.
