Trina Frierson's WNBA career was slowed by injury before it even got started. After the Storm drafted her with the 19th pick of the 2004 Draft, it was announced that Frierson would have to undergo knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Frierson had surgery and missed all of training camp, but Anne Donovan saved her a spot on the roster because of her potential. Frierson was activated from the injured list in late July and saw 22 minutes of action over five games, but her chances were limited on a veteran team surging towards the WNBA Championship. Frierson was waived during 2005 training camp. | ||||||||||||||||
