2022: Missed the majority of the season due to a quadriceps injury…Appeared in 11 of New York’s regular season contests, starting four…Averaged 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game…Shot 42.3% from the field.

2021: Did not play in 2021 after suffering a torn left Achilles’ tendon during the team’s pre-season scrimmage on May 3 at Connecticut.

2020: Selected 10^th overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury, and then was acquired by the New York Liberty via trade on draft night, April 17, 2020…Saw action in 22 games of her rookie campaign, starting in 5…Willoughby averaged 5.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 17.4 minutes per game…Jocelyn’s 40.5% three-point field goal percentage was a team-best, and her 5.7 points per game ranked second among Liberty rookies… Recorded season-highs of 21 points (LOS – 9/8), 9 rebounds (PHX – 9/5), 3 assists (CHI – 8.25) and 3 steals (ATL – 7/31).

PLAYOFFS

2022: Made WNBA postseason debut…Tallied six points in Game Two on a perfect 100% (2-2) from the field in 13 minutes.

COLLEGE: Willoughby was a four-year starter for the University of Virginia Cavaliers, staring each of her 127 collegiate contests…She finished her career ranked No. 6 on the UVA career rebounding list with 868, and No. 9 on the career scoring list with 1,677 points…Had a breakout senior campaign in 2019-20 where she averaged 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game…Such performance, alongside continued excellence in the classroom, garnered Willoughby a long-list of awards including the 2019-20 Kay Yow Award winner, CoSIDA Academic All-America Division I women’s basketball third team, WBCA All-America team honorable mention and All-ACC First Team…In her junior year, she also led the team in both scoring (14.8 points per game) and rebounding (8.3 per game), the first Cavalier to do so since Monica Wright in 2010…That season, she was named Virginia Athletics’ Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year…Shot a career-high 44.6% from beyond the perimeter in 2017-18… Selected to the All-ACC Freshmen Team after averaging 9.8 points per game in 2016-17.

INTERNATIONAL: In the summer of 2017, Willoughby attended USA Basketball U19 Women’s World Cup Team trials at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo…Played overseas in Israel for Hapoel Petah Tikua during the 2020-21 WNBA off-season…Signed with the Sydney Flames in Australia’s WNBL for the 2022-23 season.

PERSONAL: Born on March 25, 1998…Daughter of KJ and Cheryl Willoughby…has a brother, Kelly III…Attended high school at Newark Academy in Newark, N.J where she graduated in 2016…Named the 2016 Gatorade New Jersey Girls’ Basketball Player of the Year…2016 MaxPreps All-America Fourth Team…Two-time First Team All-State and All-County…Averaged 21.9 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.9 blocks, 3.8 assists and 3.1 steals per contest her senior season…As a freshman and sophomore, she helped lead Newark to two-straight back-to-back Prep B girls’ basketball state titles.
