ESPN2's Presentation 2018 WNBA Opener Hits High Marks

Sunday’s WNBA Opener between the Minnesota Lynx and the Los Angeles Sparks on ESPN2 (and rematch of the last two Finals) was watched by 297,000 viewers, up 38% over last year. The Sparks won the game 77-76 on a buzzer-beating shot by Chelsea Gray.

ESPN’s next presentation of the 2018 WNBA season will air Thursday, May 24, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 as the Los Angeles Sparks visit the Connecticut Sun. Ryan Ruocco will serve as commentator while analysts Rebecca Lobo and Kara Lawson will be the “Coaches on the Bench”, with each sitting on an opposing team’s side of the scorer’s table and offering viewers analysis and other details from a coach’s perspective on substitutions, play decisions and in-game adjustments.
