Cooper was waived by the Sparks on Wednesday.

Cooper was waived along with Arella Guirantes and Kianna Smith. She was a key contributor on last season's team, averaging 9.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22.0 minutes across 31 appearances (13 starts).

The Sparks re-signed Cooper on Thursday.

Cooper appeared in 31 games during the 2021 campaign, averaging 9.1 points and 1.4 assists in 22.0 minutes per game. With so many injuries last season, Cooper was forced to step into a larger role during her second year in the WNBA. It's unclear what her role will be if Los Angeles is at full strength heading into the 2022 campaign.

Cooper notched 24 points (9-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), six assists, one rebound and one steal in 39 minutes during Sunday's 87-84 loss to the Wings.

Cooper produced her second highest point output of the year Sunday. She finished the regular season with three straight double-digit performances and ended the 2021 campaign averaging 9.1 points per game. The 5-foot-8 guard played in 31 games, scoring in double figures 12 times and 20-plus points three times, including a season-high 26 against the Mystics on June 24. During the 89-82 win, Cooper went 10-for-15 from the field, 1-for-1 from three and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. She started 13 contests and averaged 13.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists across 29.5 minutes during those games.

Cooper will start Thursday's game against the Dream.

The Sparks have tried a few different lineups lately, including one that featured Cooper in a bench role for Sunday's drubbing of the Storm. Cooper finished that game with 19 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 22 minutes. She'll now move back into the starting five for the fourth time in the last six games.

Talbot managed 19 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals during Sunday's win over Seattle.

Talbot led the Sparks offensively off the bench, as the guard posted her finest offensive outing since putting up 20 points against the Mercury on June 27. In 29 games played so far in 2021, Talbot is tallying 8.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest.

Cooper is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Suns.

Cooper exited the starting five last week against the Lynx but will return for her third start in the last four games. The 5-8 guard has averaged 8.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.7 minutes per game this season.

Cooper posted five points (2-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt) two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 25 minutes during Thursday's 66-57 loss to the Lynx.

With Kristi Toliver (hand) still sidelined Thursday, Cooper continues to see extended playing time. She started the previous two games that Toliver missed but was moved to the bench Thursday. However, she still played 25 minutes during the contest. Despite her struggles, she will still garner major minutes if Toliver remains out.

Cooper is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Lynx.

Cooper was in the starting lineup for the previous two games and averaged 11 points and 2.5 rebounds in 28 minutes per game. She'll now head back to the bench and will hold a backup role behind Erica Wheeler and Nia Coffey.

Cooper recorded 13 points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound and one assist in 34 minutes during Saturday's 76-61 loss to the Sun.

Cooper's shot volume remained somewhat limited Saturday, but she was still one of two starters to score at least 10 points for the Sparks during her return to the starting lineup. Her role going forward depends on whether Kristi Toliver (hand) remains sidelined, but she performed fairly well as a starter Saturday.

Cooper will start Saturday's contest against the Sun.

With Kristi Toliver (hand) out, Cooper will join the starting five. In eight starts this season, she's averaged 14.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals.
