Murphy tallied a season-high 14 points (4-5 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) to go along with two rebounds and one assist across 18 minutes during Sunday's 81-64 loss to the Mercury.

Murphy saw her biggest workload of the season with the Stars since being traded there from the Mercury on June 28. In going up against her former team Sunday, Murphy had arguably her best game of the season. That said, she still projects to have a marginal role with San Antonio, as she's posting 4.0 points and 1.2 rebounds across 9.8 minutes per game since being dealt there.

Murphy has yet to make an impact with the Stars since being traded to the team on June 28.

Murphy has played in six games with the club, and has averaged 2.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists across 8.7 minutes per game. The veteran was playing just 14.1 minutes per game with the Mercury prior to the trade, and figures to continue playing more of a mentoring role to younger players going forward this season.

Murphy, along with Sophie Brunner and a 2018 third-round pick, was traded from the Mercury to the Stars on Wednesday in exchange for Monique Curry.

With the Stars still winless through 14 games this season, management has seemingly made the decision to change things up by acquiring Murphy. She's currently averaging just 3.2 points and 2.4 boards across 14.2 minutes per game, but could earn a bigger workload for the struggling Stars.

Murphy (hamstring) returned to the lineup during Saturday's 107-65 win over the Wings, notching 11 points (4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three rebounds across 17 minutes.

Murphy had missed the team's last three contests because of a hamstring injury, but was able to get back on the floor and hit double digits in the scoring column Saturday. She saw 17 minutes of action, but it remains to be seen if that was a result of the blowout or if that's roughly the role she's expected to play during the 2017 campaign. We should get a better idea of her workload over the next few games, which will provide a clearer notion of what her production is expected to be.

Murphy (hamstring) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Liberty.

Murphy has been sidelined since injuring her hamstring in the team's season debut on May 14, which also marked her return to the league after a two-year hiatus. She tallied four points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound, one assist, and one steal across 19 minutes in the contest. Tuesday will mark her third consecutive game missed. Her next opportunity to return will be Saturday against the Wings.

Murphy will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup against the Liberty due to a hamstring injury, Hoopfeed.com reports.

If she's cleared to play by gametime, she'll likely see a similar workload, assuming she's fully healthy.
