The Sky acquired Mabrey from the Wings on Saturday as part of a four-team trade.

Chicago also received a 2024 second-round pick in the deal while sending Leonie Fiebich to New York and six draft picks to different teams. In addition to moving on to a new locale, Mabrey will receive a new three-year contract, according to Richard Cohen of HerHoopStats.com. Mabrey gives the Sky another well-rounded guard in the backcourt, joining Courtney Williams as the team adjusts to life without Courtney Vandersloot -- who signed with New York -- and Allie Quigley, who is sitting out the 2023 season. Mabrey should handle a regular top-unit role with Chicago in 2023 after starting 32 of her 34 appearances last season and averaging 13.6 points, 3.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds over 28.0 minutes per game.

The Wings extended Mabrey a qualifying offer Wednesday, Rachel Galligan of WNBAinsidr.com reports.

A restricted free agent, it seems unlikely the Wings would turn down the chance to re-sign Mabrey, who is coming off a career year in 2022. She finished thte campaign averaging 13.6 points, 3.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds over 28.0 minutes per game and should be a consistent member of Dallas' rotation, barring an unforeseen change, heading into 2023.

Mabrey racked up 20 points (7-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 73-58 loss to Connecticut.

Mabrey had her best performance of the opening-round series, but her team-high 20 points wasn't enough as the Sun cruised to a convincing win. With Arike Ogunbowale (abdomen) sidelined, the fourth-year guard stepped up and played extremely well over the final 10 games of the season, posting 19.1 points, 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds across 34.0 minutes during that stretch. Her season averages (13.6 points per game) aren't as prolific due to a mid-season lull, but she was certainly capable of being Dallas' best player on a nightly basis. Mabrey has improved in each season in the WNBA and will look to parlay her strong finish into a breakout 2023 campaign.

Mabrey closed with 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Sunday's 89-79 victory over Connecticut.

Mabrey recorded her second straight double-digit outing in the starting lineup for Dallas, tallying 11 points in Thursday's Game 1 contest. In two games this postseason, Mabrey is averaging 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

Mabrey closed Thursday's 93-68 loss to the Sun with 11 points (5-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes.

Mabrey recorded her eighth straight performance with 10 or more points, and while the Wings looked overmatched here, she at least contributed on the offensive -- even if she struggled from an efficiency perspective. She is averaging 19.6 points per contest in that span.

Mabrey finished with 27 points (10-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and five assists over 37 minutes during Sunday's 116-88 victory over the Sparks.

Mabrey has gotten the hot hand just at the right time. This was the guard's seventh straight game scoring in double figures, and during that span dating back to Aug. 2, Mabrey is averaging 20.9 points. Mabrey and the Wings face the Sun in Round 1 of the WNBA Playoffs on Thursday.

Mabrey chipped in 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt), six rebounds and six assists across 32 minutes during Friday's 86-74 loss to Phoenix.

Mabrey did enough to score in double digits in this one despite her efficiency problems, and she has now scored at least 10 points in six straight contests. She's averaging 19.8 points per game over that span and is clearly ending on a strong note.

Mabrey followed up her career best performance a game prior wither another superb offensive performance. It was her fifth straight game reaching at least the 15-point mark, and during that span, the guard is posting a fantastic 21.8 points per matchup.

Mabrey racked up 31 points (11-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 37 minutes during Monday's 86-77 win over the Liberty.

With Arike Ogunbowale (abdomen) sidelined, Mabrey stepped into a more prominent role and made the most of her opportunity by scoring a career-high 31 points, leading the Wings to a fifth straight win. Over her last four appearances, Mabrey has averaged 22.5 points, 4.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 34.5 minutes per game.

Mabrey collected 18 points (7-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-7 FT), eight assists and two rebounds in Saturday's 95-91 overtime win over Indiana.

Mabrey scored well and was dishing out assists all night, but where she really helped her team was in overtime. Mabrey and Teaira McCowan each scored six points in overtime and they outscored the Fever by four in OT to lead their team to victory.
