The Sparks re-signed Brown to a multi-year contract Wednesday, Mirjam Swanson of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Brown will return to Los Angeles for a second season after posting 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.0 minutes per game across 34 appearances (16 starts) last year. She shot 39.8 percent from three (3.9 attempts per game) and will presumably play a key role for the Sparks in 2023 and beyond.

Brown tallied 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 34 games played for the Sparks in 2022.

Brown bounced back from a disappointing season with the Sky in 2021 with a solid overall year with the Sparks. The 28-year-old averaged a career high in rebounds, and she also recorded the most points and assists since the 2019 season. Brown's best game offensively came June 27 against the Aces when she scored 17 points.

Brown has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Wings due to an ankle injury.

Brown drew the start Sunday with Nneka Ogwumike (ankle) sidelined, but Brown was ruled out during the third quarter after sustaining an ankle injury. Prior to her departure, she logged three points (1-4 FG, -14 3Pt), a rebound and an assist in 16 minutes. It's not yet clear whether the 27-year-old's ankle injury will impact her offseason availability.

Brown is starting Sunday's game against the Wings.

Brown will make her first start since July 12 since Nneka Ogwumike (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale. Brown has played 20-plus minutes in five of the last six games and has averaged 6.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.8 minutes per game during that time.

Brown (ankle) has been cleared to play Tuesday at New York.

Brown was originally deemed questionable for this matchup, but she'll retake the floor after what was essentially three games on the sidelines. Brown has averaged 8.2 points per game during nine July appearances.

Brown continues to deal with an ankle injury that has held her out two out of the Sparks' last three games If the guard is unable to suit up Tuesday, her next chance to return comes Wednesday when New York and Los Angeles square off once again.

Brown missed her team's last matchup Saturday against the Aces with an ankle issue, so it would appear she aggravated the same injury during the first half of Thursday's clash. Jordin Canada and Chennedy Carter could pick up additional minutes down the stretch.
