Angel Robinson (born April 20, 1987) is a forward for the Phoenix Mercury.

WNBA CAREER

Three-year WNBA player having spent the 2014 season in Seattle and 2017 and 2018 seasons in Phoenix

Selected 20th overall by Los Angeles in the 2010 WNBA Draft…attended Washington’s camp in 2011

Rights acquired by Phoenix on June 25, 2016 in a trade with Seattle

Career averaged of 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 64 games

Scored a career-high 14 points on August 6, 2017 at Washington

Grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds on July 19, 2018 against Las Vegas

86.5 percent (32-of-37) career free throw shooter…two misses came in 2014 and three in 2018

Career playoff averages of 2.7 points and 1.6 rebounds in seven postseason games

 

2018 SEASON

Appeared in 24 games in 2018, averaging 2.3 points and 3.0 rebounds

Scored a season-high 10 points on five-of-seven shooting (71.4 percent) on July 13 at Connecticut to go along with seven rebounds…matched her career high in field goals and field goal attempts

Grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds on July 19 against Las Vegas…recorded eight defensive rebounds, matching a career best

Notched two games of 10 or more rebounds on the season, both while coming off the bench

Made a career-high four free throws on July 25 against Chicago, finishing a perfect four-for-four from the charity stripe

Shot 86.5 percent (17-of-20) from the free throw line…her 20 attempts and 17 makes are the most she’s recorded in a season in her career

COLLEGE CAREER

Finished her career at Georgia with averages of 9.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game…shot 52.6-percent form the field during her collegiate career

Became Georgia’s 31st player in program history to achieve 1,000 career points (1,188)

Finished her Bulldog career fifth on the program’s all-time rebounds list (982) and fourth on the blocks chart (213)

Named Second-Team All-SEC following the 2008-09 season after leading the conference in rebounding (9.3 rpg), becoming the first Lady Bulldog to lead the conference in rebounds since 1987-88 (Tammye Jenkins)

INTERNATIONAL

Member of the Montenegro women’s basketball National Team

Averaged 16.7 points and 13.7 rebounds in three games with Montenegro in the 2017 FIBA Championships

Played alongside the Mercury’s DeWanna Bonner on Nadezhda in Russia during the 2015-16 WNBA offseason…averaged 8.3 points on 52.6-percent shooting and 6.8 rebounds in 30 games of Russian League play…averaged 8.8 points and 8.4 rebounds in 18 games of EuroLeague play
