She then transferred to North Carolina, where she became a cornerstone of the Tar Heels’ lineup, playing in all 102 games across her three seasons in Chapel Hill. During the 2025–26 campaign, Nivar delivered her strongest season yet, averaging 10.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.7 steals per game. She also posted one of the most memorable performances in UNC history with a triple‑double that included 10 steals, tying the program’s single‑game steals record. 
Her defensive intensity, playmaking ability, and consistency made her one of the ACC’s most impactful guards throughout her tenure.
