Maddy Westbeld

Westbeld made the most of her chances off the bench in this one, pouring in 15 of her 25 points from beyond the arc. She'll close out her rookie campaign on a high note, as Thursday's outburst was Westbeld's best scoring performance of the 2025 campaign, beating her previous high of 10 points Aug. 9 against Indiana.

Westbeld got the start in Friday's game against the Fever due to Angel Reese being suspende. However, Westbeld will return to the bench since Elizabeth Williams will take Reese's starting spot Sunday. Westbeld has seen a limited role in her last three appearances off the bench, averaging just 9.3 minutes per contest.

With Angel Reese serving a one-game suspension for being assessed an eighth technical foul, the team will turn to Westbeld to be a starter alongside Kamilla Cardoso in the frontcourt. It will be Westbeld's first start during the 2025 campaign. She is currently averaging 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game, shooting 32.9 percent from the floor and 34.5 percent from deep.

This was Westbeld's lowest workload since July 29. She's had some positive moments off the bench lately, but her role is too inconsistent for fantasy managers to trust her most nights.

The rookie scored a season-high mark in points, finishing as one of two Sky players in double figures. With Angel Reese (back) sidelined in the club's past five games, Westbeld has averaged 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 48.0 percent from the field across 17.2 minutes per game during that span.
