Li Yueru

Yueru suffered the injury during Friday's game against the Sparks, but she was able to return. But after further evaluation, the Wings have determined that her season is over. Yueru is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026 season. In Yueru's absence, Luisa Geiselsoder may need to step into a larger role in the frontcourt.

Yueru will sit out Sunday's game with a left knee injury, her first absence since joining the Wings on June 14. The center has averaged 7.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in 20.0 minutes across 22 games (12 starts) with Dallas, though she's recently shifted more regularly into a bench role.

Yueru hasn't missed a game since being absent for two straight in mid-June. However, the questionable tag suggests the backup center might be a game-time call for Sunday's 3:30 p.m. ET tipoff. Yueru shouldn't carry a lot of fantasy upside, though. She's averaging only 5.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game since the All-Star break.

Yueru bounced back nicely after going scoreless late time out. In fact, in her first four games in August, she was averaging just 2.5 points per game while shooting just 15.8 percent (3-19 FG) from the field, so this performance certainly was shocking. It was her first time scoring at least 10 points since July 22, a span of 10 games.

Yueru moved back to the bench Sunday with Paige Bueckers (back) back in the lineup for Dallas. Yueru's fantasy appeal has been trending in the wrong direction for a few weeks, with the center failing to score in double figures for eight games in a row.
