Brittney Sykes

Sykes was efficient during Thursday's narrow loss, but her shot volume remained low as she posted a third consecutive lackluster stat line in the playoffs. The 31-year-old was dealt from the Mystics to the Storm ahead of the trade deadline, and her production took a slight hit with her new team, as she averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 30.0 minutes per game. She'll be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason and will likely draw ample interest on the open market.

Sykes posted a solid stat line despite her shooting woes and helped the Storm clinch a playoff berth. She was acquired via trade from the Mystics midway through the season and looked good in a starting role with the Storm, putting up 11.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game across 14 regular-season appearances (13 starts) with Seattle.

Sykes has gone 11 straight games without reaching the 15-point mark after posting a 27-point outburst against the Sparks on Aug. 10. However, she's routinely scored in double digits in that stretch, so she continues to be a solid secondary offensive option in a loaded Seattle offense. Sykes is averaging 11.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game since the beginning of August.

Sykes was one of just two Storm players to reach double digits, joining Nneka Ogwumike in the club. Sykes has fit in nicely since being acquired from the Mystics in early August, scoring at least 10 points in seven of her nine games, while providing occasional three-point shooting.

Sykes scored double-digit points for the third consecutive game and was one of five Storm players to reach double figures. The All-Star has scored at least 11 points in five of her six appearances since being traded to Seattle. The veteran guard was also one of four Storm players to dish out at least five assists, which she has now accomplished in two of those six games.
