Meet the International WNBA Players Competing in FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup

  • Natalie Achonwa will play for Canada in the FIBA World Cup. Achonwa started in each of the 34 games she played with the Indiana Fever during the 2018 season. She averaged 10.3 PPG and 6.9 RPG.

  • Rebecca Allen will play for Australia in the FIBA World Cup. Allen averaged 3.8 PPG in 28 games played with the New York Liberty this season.

  • Liz Cambage will play for Australia in the FIBA World Cup. Cambage led the WNBA in scoring (23.0 PPG) and was also named to the All-WNBA First Team following an outstanding return to the Dallas Wings.

  • Cayla George will play for Australia in the FIBA World Cup. George averaged 3.6 PPG in 23 games with the Dallas Wings this past season.

  • Emma Meesseman will play for Belgium in the FIBA World Cup. Meesseman, a former WNBA All-Star with the Washington Mystics, took the 2018 WNBA season off to prepare for this tournament.

  • Kia Nurse will suit up for Canada during the FIBA World Cup. Nurse had a stellar rookie season, averaging 9.1 PPG in 34 games for the New York Liberty.

  • Stephanie Talbot will be playing for Australia during the FIBA World Cup. She averaged 3.7 PPG in 31 games for the Phoenix Mercury this season.

  • Sami Whitcomb will suit up for Australia in the FIBA World Cup. Whitcomb was part of the WNBA champion Seattle Storm, averaging 2.9 PPG in 31 games played.

  • Astou Ndour will play for Spain in the FIBA World Cup. Ndour was a second round pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft and is currently a center for the Chicago Sky.
