#WNBAKicks: Hartley Keeps Up With KDs

If there’s a notable WNBA sneakerhead, it’s the New York Liberty’s Bria Hartley.

Hartley, who was featured in ESPN W showcasing her sneaker closet, has gone with Nike KD 10s to rock on the court this season – but all for a practical reason.

“It’s more that I don’t really roll my ankle in these,” Hartley said about the KD 10s. “They’re comfortable, I like the wider base on the bottom. I try to get different colors.”

Hartley wore her KD 10s since late last year and has broken out three different colorways in the 2018 season. In terms of her shoe closet now, Hartley has quite the range of kicks, if she says so herself.

“Yeah it’s a lot of different things in there, I get a lot of everything,” Hartley said. “Lots of Jordan’s – I started collecting them at a young age. Lots of KDs, Kyries, just anything you can think of I’ve had.”

When asked about an all-time favorite pair to wear on the hardwood, Hartley prefers a Nike classic: “Kobe 8s, those are one of my favorites.”

In terms of her favorite off-the-court shoe, Hartley goes with a classic that’s common among the players we’ve interviewed so far for WNBA Kicks – Jordan Retro XIs.

Speaking on the Jordan XIs, Hartley keeps true to her collecting ways – “Any time [the XIs] come out, I always get them in every color.”
