WNBA, National Basketball Referees Association Approve Three-Year Collective Bargaining Agreement

NEW YORK, April 30, 2021 – The WNBA and the National Basketball Referees Association (NBRA), the union representing the WNBA referees, today announced they have entered into a new three-year collective bargaining agreement, commencing with the 2021 season.

“We are grateful for the NBRA’s work in coming to this agreement and for the referees’ ongoing dedication to the WNBA,” said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “We look forward to the upcoming 25th season with our referees, who are essential to our game.”

Per league policy, terms of this agreement will not be disclosed.
