Team Needs
Delle Donne, a former WNBA MVP and USA Olympic gold medalist, led the Sky in scoring each of the last four seasons, so replacing her production is going to take a team effort. She has been the franchise’s go-to player they selected her in 2013.
The No. 2 pick could go along way in speeding up their rebuilding process. An elite scorer to complement veteran guard Cappie Pondexter and newly acquired young center Stefanie Dolson would be ideal. That piece, combined with second-year players Imani Boyette and Kahleah Cooper, could give the Sky an impressive core under new coach and GM Amber Stocks.
Chicago has another opportunity to add depth to its roster with its own No. 9 pick later in the first round.
