It didn’t take long for the second half of the 2015 season to start off with a bang. The Minnesota Lynx, Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream completed a blockbuster trade on Monday morning in which two leading contenders landed All-Star centers.

Sky center Sylvia Fowles and a 2016 second-round draft pick are headed to Minnesota, Dream center Erika de Souza is headed to Chicago, and forwards Damiris Dantas and Rashanda Gray are Atlanta-bound, along with a 2016 first-round draft pick.

#Hardware: Maya Moore Collects Another Trophy

Was this a statement for what the second half of the season will look like? That remains to be seen.

#History: Catchings Sets Records in Final All-Star Game

One of the WNBA’s most decorated careers added another chapter in Connecticut. Fourteen-year Indiana Fever vet Tamika Catchings played in her 10th and final WNBA All-Star Game — an all-time league high for a single player — and scored eight points to surpass Lisa Leslie as the game’s all-time leading scorer (108 points).

The Catchings tributes included a “Happy Birthday” rendition on Friday (she turned 36 on July 21), a jersey signed by each of the All-Stars and an emotional press conference following Saturday’s game.
