USWNT Honored With Ticker-Tape Parade In NYC

Numerous WNBA stars have experienced success playing on an international level throughout their careers with the United States Women’s National Team. This past October, USA toppled Spain to claim the 2014 FIBA World Championship crown.
Now, their counterparts in soccer are getting a taste of that success. The United States women’s national team won its first World Cup title since 1999 this past week, exacting revenge against 2011 champions Japan to the tune of 5-2.
WNBA stars showed their support for the team during the entire tournament.
