U.S. Women's National Basketball Team Concludes Three-Day Training Camp in South Carolina

Being able to represent your country on the world stage is the ultimate honor in sports.
This weekend, 22 of the WNBA’s most notable names joined together to attend USA Women’s National Team training camp at the University South Carolina, led by Gamecocks head coach and WNBA legend Dawn Staley. Each is trying to make the final roster of players who will wear the red, white and blue in the 2018 FIBA World Cup (Sept. 22-30, in Tenerife, Spain) and ultimately compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics (July 24-Aug. 9 in Tokyo).
WNBA stars back with the USAWNT included Sue Bird, Brittney Griner, Tina Charles, Nneka Ogwumike, Diana Taurasi and Maya Moore. They led a group of 16 players who are already members of the 2018-20 National Team Pool. Six others were invited to attend the camp with hopes of being added to the pool: Allisha Gray, Chelsea Gray, Tiffany Mitchell, Brittney Sykes, Sydney Wiese, and Elizabeth Williams.
