- In addition to being the team’s emtional leader, Taurasi is also its floor general on the court. She finished with a team-high 20 points in the win
- Tamkia Catchings is in her final WNBA season, and in turn her final Olympics. If she wins gold in Rio it will be four straight for the superstar

- Elena Delle Donne has taken her National Team play to another level over the team’s last three contests. Against Australia she did more of the same finishing with 19 points off the bench
- A vital part to a successful United States team is the play of Lindsey Whalen. Not only is she a supreme passer, she also has the ability to score in a variety of ways. The established veteran recorded eight points in the win
- Proceedings in this game were closer than the previous matchups for the United States but the squad pulled away for a comfortable 104-89 win in the end. They finished their Olympic exhibition schedule a cool 4-0.
