Teyana Taylor to Perform During AT&T WNBA All-Star Halftime


NEW YORK – The WNBA announced today that Teyana Taylor, a prolific recording artist, actress, dancer, director and choreographer, will perform at halftime during AT&T WNBA All-Star 2019.

The 16th WNBA All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, July 27 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.  ABC will televise AT&T WNBA All-Star 2019 live at 3:30 p.m. ET.

A Harlem, N.Y., native, Taylor has collaborated with GRAMMY® Award-winning artists John Legend, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.  Her dance performance in the music video for West’s song “Fade” became a viral sensation with more than 100 million views on YouTube and earned her a 2017 MTV Video Music Award for “Best Choreography.”

Taylor released her second studio album, “K.T.S.E.,” in 2018 under West’s record label G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam Recordings.  She created her own production company, The Aunties, which has directed music videos for various artists.

As an actress, Taylor has starred alongside Blair Underwood in the Netflix film “The After Party” and appeared in “Hit the Floor,” “Honey: Rise Up and Dance” and “The Trap.”  The VH1 reality show “Teyana & Iman” features Taylor and her husband, NBA player Iman Shumpert.

AT&T WNBA All-Star 2019 will also feature performances by Las Vegas mainstays Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group. To tip off the game, Cirque du Soleil will present two unique performances by both the cast of Mystère and KÀ. The specially choreographed performances will act as the backdrop for the All-Star player introductions creating an “Only in Vegas” entertainment experience. Blue Man Group will spread laughter and surprises throughout the game with their unique style of audience interactions.
