Suns’ Devin Booker Purchases 500 Tickets For WNBA Semifinals Game 3

PHOENIX – With playoff hype at fever pitch and the Phoenix Mercury returning home to host a WNBA Semifinals game for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons, Phoenix Suns guard and huge Mercury supporter Devin Booker has purchased a block of 500 tickets to Game 3 of the WNBA Semifinals. The Mercury will take on the top-seeded Seattle Storm on Friday, Aug. 31 at Talking Stick Resort Arena at 7 p.m.

Those tickets will be available to be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis on the Fry’s Plaza, just outside the Casino Arizona Pavilion, beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday. Fans may claim up to four tickets per person, while supplies last.

Booker has been an avid WNBA fan since being selected by the Suns with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, as he has attended multiple Mercury games throughout his four summers in the Valley and has also been featured as part of the NBA’s “Lean In” campaign about men supporting women. Booker is now the second Suns player to offer complimentary tickets to Mercury playoff games this postseason after Deandre Ayton, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, purchased a block of tickets for the Phoenix Mercury’s single-elimination Round 1 playoff victory over the Dallas Wings on Aug. 21.

Through his first three seasons with the Suns, Booker has averaged 19.8 points, 3.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 208 games. The 6-6 guard won the JBL Three-Point Contest at NBA All-Star 2018, setting an event record in the final round to take the title. On March 24, 2017, Booker scored a franchise record 70 points at Boston, becoming just the sixth player in NBA history to record a 70-point game.
