L.A.'s Championship Portraits

- L.A.’s MVP duo combined for 40 points in the Game 5 victory. In addition to winning her first championship Parker took home the Finals MVP award.
- Ogwumike cradles her first WNBA championship. Her 12 points and 12 rebounds were vital to the Sparks win, but none more important than her last second rebound and go-ahead bucket. She became just the sixth player to win the league MVP award and a championship in the same season.
- Toliver may have only finished with eight points in Game 5 but her magical fadeaway three with less than four minutes remaining in the 4th Q will go down as one of the shots of the series.
- Coach Agler won his second WNBA title with the Game 5 win. Ogwumike has had her two best statistical seasons since Agler took over prior to the 2015 season.
- Who can forget Beard’s game-winning jumper as time expired in Game 1. This shot set the tone for the thrilling series that was to come.
- Lavender played key minutes off the bench throughout the entirety of the series for the Sparks. One of her best performances came in Game 1 by way of an eight point 4-for-6 shooting night.
- Gray scored all 11 of her Game 5 points in a 5 minute period over the end of the 3rd quarter through the beginning of the 4th. If you were looking for an unsung hero for L.A. look no further.
- Toler is the Sparks’ GM and played for two seasons in L.A. (1997-98). She also served as interim coach in 2014
- Four starters, Toliver, Parker, Ogwumike, and Beard are joined by Jantel Lavender and Coach Agler. Each is all smiles as they cap off the historic 20th season of the WNBA in style.
