Social Recap: Lynx Make WNBA History With 11-0 Season Start

When the WNBA’s historic 20th season kicked off in early May, many had the Lynx as a championship favorite. The 2015 champions returned their core nucleus, and looked poised from the jump to be a serious contender to go back-to-back.
While championship predictions were made by many, no one could have predicted the Lynx would be on the brink of WNBA history just a month into this season. How so?
Minnesota entered their June 14th showdown with the Fever, the same team they had defeated to the earn the championship crown in 2015, with the chance to start their 2016 season a perfect 11-0. With a victory over Catch and company, the Lynx’ start would be the best ever in WNBA history.
Social media was abuzz as Maya Moore and the Lynx looked to do something the league and it’s fans had never seen before. See how the historic night went down from start to finish.
