SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 2, 2016) – The San Antonio Stars today announced the team has signed guard Whitney Knight for the remainder of the season.
Knight (Florida Gulf Coast, 6-3) was drafted 15th overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2016 WNBA Draft. She averaged 0.9 points and 0.4 rebounds in seven appearances with the Sparks this season. She was waived by Los Angeles on Aug. 30.
The two-time Atlantic Sun Player of the Year (2015, 2016) finished her career as the conference and FGCU’s all-time career blocks leader (333). She averaged 12.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in four seasons with the Eagles.
