Mercury’s Brittney Griner Out For One Month With Injuries

PHOENIX – Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner sustained an injury with 8:49 remaining in tonight’s game at Talking Stick Resort Arena against the Minnesota Lynx, and did not return.

After being evaluated by team physicians and undergoing x-rays and MRIs, Griner has been diagnosed with a left knee bone bruise and a right ankle sprain. She is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

She will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and her status will be updated when appropriate.
