Las Vegas Re-Signs Forward Dearica Hamby

Las Vegas (February 1, 2019)—Las Vegas Aces President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Bill Laimbeer announced today that the team has re-signed forward Dearica Hamby.

“We are happy to have Dearica back in the fold,” said Laimbeer. “She has proven over the years that she is a quality contributor in the WNBA, and we believe that as she continues to work on her game, she will become even more of a force.

Hamby was one of the Aces key reserves in 2018, and has consistently improved her production in each of her four years in the league.

Last season, she averaged 7.4 points, while connecting on a career-best 52.6 percent of her shots from the field and 74.2 percent from the free throw line. Hamby also grabbed 3.6 rebounds per game, and handed out a career-high 1.2 assists per contest.

The Wake Forest graduate scored in double figures on 12 occasions in 2018, including a career-high 24 at Chicago on June 3, where she made 11 of 13 shots from the field.
