Coming out of that game I felt really good about our team and about my personal health. After missing time due to the concussion I was feeling very refreshed and ready to attack the next part of the season. Unfortunately just ten minutes into the next game in LA I hurt my foot and was unable to finish that game. Following our game against the Sparks I had to miss the next two games while my foot healed.
As a competitive athlete there is nothing worse than being sidelined by an injury and having to watch the game rather than actually play. While I was out with my foot injury, my teammates could not have made me more proud. In the two games that I was sitting out we rallied back from major deficits to win our games against Seattle and Connecticut. In those two games my teammates showed that, as a team, we are true competitors and display an incredible amount of toughness. One of the many reasons that I truly love this team is because of the collective unwillingness to give up. No matter what situation we were in for those two games, not one single player on the team gave up and the result was two exciting and hard earned wins. I am so excited about the rest of this season and to get back out on the court with my team!
Until next time,
Elena
